A new couple moved into our ward a few weeks ago and they seemed pretty nice. We ended up both helping another family move into our ward and that's when we really started talking. Then it so happened that we ended up signing up to clean the church on the same Saturday. We had some good stories and laughs. They invited us over for dinner and pumpkin carving tonight which was so much fun. Another couple they previously knew also came along so we all were able to get to know each other. It's really hard for us to get friends because, they are either single and don't want to hang out with married people, or they are married and either already have a baby or are expecting one and wont let you into their "Baby Click". You know, if you don't have a baby then they obviously can't be friends with you since they would have nothing to talk to you about. Unlike other couples where they can talk about the funny things their babies do, or their marvelous advice they can give to the expecting women. So it was nice hanging out with Josiah and Megan knowing that they have the same friend struggles we do since they don't have children either.
So we all ate a wonderful dinner that Megan made and then we carved pumpkins, sat a chatted for a while and then of course ate some pumpkin pie. How appropriate!
