This weekend was a busy one for me with mini sessions, three family sessions and one newborn session so unfortunately I wasn't home much Saturday but Sundays are my days off. Obviously we wanted Preston to be excited about Easter but we wanted him to know it was more than just about finding eggs and getting candy. I told him about Jesus Christ and how he died for us and that he had risen from the dead and that's why we have Easter, because we are "so happy he is alive". Preston was then able to share a cliff notes version of the story to grandparents, daddy, aunts and uncles.
Sunday the kids woke up to see the Easter Bunny had come and brought a few things and some candy. Mike's sister Jenny stopped by to bring the kids some Easter baskets she had put together. SO thoughtful! We then went to church and after church we went out to my parent's house where the Eater Bunny had set up an egg hunt. The kids absolutely loved finding the eggs. Papa then showed them the neighbor's new chicks and bunnies. The kids are always in heaven at Nana and Papa's house but add an egg hunt and tons of candy and they were egg-static. Get it ;)
